Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit in Macon, Georgia. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a busy Level 1 Trauma Hospital focusing on cardiothoracic, vascular, and medical-surgical patient populations. The role emphasizes clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, wound care, and discharge planning to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning 08/24/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; 2 years of nursing experience in a related setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Medical-Surgical certification.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to all adult medical-surgical and telemetry units within the facility.
  • Additional Information: The RN will assist with patient assessment, cardiac telemetry interpretation, IV placement, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education. The unit utilizes EPIC electronic medical records, Philips monitors, Vital signs monitors, Nova Glucose Strips, and other advanced medical equipment. Orientation includes one day of educational modules and two days of departmental training. The staffing pattern includes dedicated CNA support, a resource discharge nurse team, 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage, and a central telemetry monitoring system.
