Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Experience with cardiac drips and insulin drips
  • Ability to thrive in a team-focused, collaborative environment
  • Comfort working night shifts and following unit documentation standards
  • Professional appearance and adherence to unit policies, including no artificial or gel nails

Progressive Care Unit RN Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to progressive care patients
  • Monitor vital signs and complete assessments throughout the shift
  • Perform blood glucose checks as ordered
  • Document care and assessments each shift in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Manage patients requiring cardiac drip and insulin drip support
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote strong patient outcomes
  • Support unit workflow and floating assignments within clinical competencies
  • Contribute to a positive, cooperative, and patient-centered team culture
