PCU / Surgical Stepdown – Registered Nurse (Travel)

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Surgical Stepdown unit setting
  • Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with facility protocols
  • Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license valid in the state of Kansas or a compact state license
  • BLS certification required
  • Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown nursing environment
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts as a travel nurse on a contract basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with surgical stepdown or post-operative patient populations
  • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
