Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) is sought for a position in a healthcare facility located in Irving, Texas. The role involves providing specialized patient care in a unit with 11 beds, with an emphasis on telemetry interpretation and post-sheath removal hematoma management. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a registered nurse in a PCU with an active license. The work schedule is day shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years working as a registered nurse in a progressive care unit, with an active nursing license. Experience with telemetry interpretation and post-sheath removal hematoma management is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with skills in critical cardiac drips are prioritized.
- On Call Requirement: No on-call duties required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to medical-surgical units as needed.
- Additional Information: The unit has bedside vital sign monitoring machines in each room, utilizes Meditech electronic medical records, and prefers team players with excellent communication and customer service skills. The staffing includes one charge nurse and three staff nurses per shift, with additional support when fully staffed. The unit continuously updates with new equipment and prioritizes experienced staff members.
