Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role requires a high level of proficiency in perioperative care and post-anesthesia recovery.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Prepare patients for surgery as well as the operating room prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assist with sedation and critical drips.
• Interpret telemetry and provide appropriate interventions in response to changes in patient status.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams across multiple specialties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of OR/pre-op experience required.
• Required experience in Phase I and II recovery.
• Proficient in managing sedation, critical medications, and telemetry interpretation.
• Experience in multiple surgical specialties is essential.
• Current Massachusetts RN license is required.
• Active certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory.
• BSN preferred.
• Must possess a reliable vehicle for commuting between locations as needed.

Additional Information

Dress code consists of facility-provided scrubs. An orientation period of 8 hours will be conducted to familiarize the RN with the environment and protocols.
