Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 3-4 years of PACU nursing experience required
  • Prior experience in a post-anesthesia care unit or peri-anesthesia setting preferred
  • EPIC experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • PALS or ENPC (equivalency) required
  • Prior travel nurse experience not required
  • Must have been separated from the health system for 6+ months to be considered
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered, team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care for ambulatory surgical and procedural patients
  • Monitor patient recovery and respond to changes in condition using strong clinical judgment
  • Support patient flow in a 25-bed PACU with an average daily volume of approximately 35 cases
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in EPIC
  • Collaborate with the peri-anesthesia team to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput
  • Maintain a professional, supportive presence while working with students and new hires
  • Deliver compassionate, attentive care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery environment
