Peri Anesthesia Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated registered nurse with expertise in peri anesthesia to join our team in an ambulatory surgery setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Position Overview

This position involves working with a patient population undergoing ambulatory surgical and procedural cases. The nursing team will support a total of 25 beds with a daily caseload of 35. The selected nurse will work either an evening shift from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM or a later shift from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the peri-anesthesia unit.
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Monitor patients post-anesthesia and manage any complications or needs that arise.
Contribute to a culture of support, especially when interacting with students and new hires.

Qualifications

3-4 years of clinical experience in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting.
Proficiency in using EPIC electronic health record system.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Must be separated from previous employment with the organization for 6 months to be eligible for consideration.

Patient Population

The nurse will mainly work with patients undergoing ambulatory surgical and procedural cases, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care throughout their experience.
