Operating Room Nurse

Job Overview

This position is for an Operating Room Nurse with a focus on ambulatory care, specifically in orthopedics and sports medicine. The role supports surgical procedures in a fast-paced outpatient surgery environment.

Unit Description

The assignment will be located in a healthcare center providing outpatient surgical services. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Ambulatory experience is mandatory
  • Experience in orthopedics and sports medicine is preferred
  • BLS certification is required

Responsibilities

  • Pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing outpatient procedures
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of surgical procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
