PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PACU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients as they recover from anesthesia in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Job Details

This position requires a commitment to work 36 hours per week with a rotating schedule that includes day and night shifts, as well as the possibility of up to 2 weekend shifts per month.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during the recovery process.
Administer medications and interventions as prescribed.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff regarding recovery progress.
Assure a safe and comfortable environment for patients during their recovery.
Document patient care and progress accurately in medical records.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of registered nursing experience required.
At least 1 year of travel PACU experience is mandatory.
1 year of experience in an academic medical center is required.
Current BLS certification is necessary.
Active RN license with verification required.
