First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Walla Walla, Washington. Operating within Providence Saint Mary Medical Center—a modern 104-bed acute care hospital and Level III Trauma Center handling 36–52 procedural cases daily across 21 recovery stations—this position offers a structured 5x8 daytime schedule (07:00 AM - 15:00 PM / 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday). PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,446.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $30.00/hr (40 regular hours)
  • Overtime Rate: $45.00/hr

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (07:00 AM - 15:00 PM / 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • Weekends & Call:NO WEEKENDS & NO ON-CALL REQUIRED! Enjoy all your evenings and weekends off.
  • Floating Requirements:NO OUTSIDE UNIT FLOATING! Rotation occurs strictly between Pre-Op, Phase I PACU, and Phase II Recovery.
  • Clinical Scope & Patient Acuity: High-volume procedural flow (36–52 daily census). Caseload spans Orthopedics/Total Joints (Mako robotics), General surgery, Robotics (DaVinci), Neuro/Spine, ENT, Urology, GYN, Plastics, Podiatry, Endoscopy (Colon/EGD), Interventional Radiology (biopsies/paracentesis), and Cath Lab recovery (heart caths/pacemakers).
  • Core Skills: Advanced airway management (LMA/ET extubation, oral/nasal airways, End-Tidal CO2), hemodynamic stability, arterial line management, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation monitoring, nerve blocks, and rapid pain titration.
  • EMR & Parking: Epic EMR; free on-site parking; scrubs of any color are permitted.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical PACU / Perianesthesia experience with proven ability to float seamlessly between Pre-Op, Phase I PACU, and Phase II. First-time travelers accepted!
  • Licensure: Active Washington RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License must be in hand at submission (facility honors active compact licenses).
  • Certifications Required: * American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Rehire Policy: Former permanent employees of any non-Swedish Providence facility are eligible to return after a 3-month separation.
