Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse Acute Care Facility Location: Not specified. This role involves providing specialized post-surgical care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The position requires adaptability to variable start times and a commitment to patient safety and recovery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (pending license accepted), at least 1 year of experience in PACU or related specialty, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications, and experience with End-Tidal Carbon Dioxide monitoring, airway assessment, blood product administration, and other advanced skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, outpatient surgery, general, orthopedic, urology, and infusion therapy.
- Additional Responsibilities: Providing patient assessments, managing postoperative care, and ensuring patient safety during recovery. Flexibility in schedule is essential due to variable shift start times. Candidates must be willing to work some holidays, with requests for time off to be submitted upfront.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must include responses regarding prior work at a Providence facility and provide two references covering at least one year within the last three years.
