Job Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Prior PACU, post-anesthesia care, perioperative, surgical recovery, or acute care experience preferred
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Telemetry knowledge required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and overall patient stability in the PACU
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and support recovery interventions according to clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure expectations and discharge readiness
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold quality and safety standards
