Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Specialist Location
This role involves providing specialized care within a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a healthcare facility. The position offers the opportunity to work four 10-hour shifts with variable start times, supporting a busy surgical and recovery setting. The role is suited for professionals with a minimum of two years of critical care experience and relevant certifications.
Job Details
- Qualifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS certifications required; minimum of 2 years of critical care experience; valid nursing license submitted.
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, days, with on-call support approximately every 4 weeks, including rotating weekends and holiday coverage, totaling at least 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Provide post-operative recovery care for patients undergoing various procedures, including orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, and general surgeries. Utilize EPIC charting system and technical skills such as managing Alines and ventilators.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Must be comfortable working in a Level III trauma facility with a 12-bed unit and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1. Experience in critical care settings and proficiency with equipment like ventilators and Alines are essential.
