Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurse role is based in a 221-bed acute care facility and teaching hospital. This position involves providing direct clinical care to patients on a daily basis, with an emphasis on assessing, planning, and implementing patient care in the post-anesthesia setting. The PACU nurse will also supervise staff, ensure adherence to high-quality, safe practices, and support operational and clinical goals of the facility.

Job Details:

  • Location: 221-bed acute care facility and teaching hospital
  • Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse (RN) license, with either PACU or Pre-Operative Nurse experience. Minimum of 0 years of clinical experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postoperative patient management, strong supervisory skills, and familiarity with unit-specific procedures.
  • Additional Information: The role involves responsible assessment, planning, and delivery of direct patient care on a shift basis. Supervisory duties include oversight of clinical staff to which care is delegated, ensuring high standards of patient safety and care quality.
