PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Less than one year of nursing experience may be considered
  • Recent acute care hospital experience within the past five years preferred
  • Acute care hospital experience within the past two years or intermediate/progressive care experience preferred
  • Ability to safely lift and/or assist with lifting patients or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Strong patient assessment, communication, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills

Travel RN Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in an intermediate care environment
  • Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and promptly escalate concerns
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and ongoing care needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Support a safe, organized, and respectful care environment during night-shift operations
