Travel Nursing Job Details

- Assignment Dates: October 4, 2026 through January 31, 2027
- Contract Duration: 17 weeks
- Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, days, approximately 8:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
- Call Coverage: Participation in the call rotation, including approximately 2–3 weeknight call shifts during a four-week schedule and every fourth weekend; must be able to report to the unit within 30 minutes when called
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
- At least 1 year of recent PACU or post-anesthesia recovery nursing experience
- Experience recovering patients following general, regional, and conscious sedation anesthesia across all age groups and patient types
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-operative assessment skills
- Ability to participate in the required call rotation and respond within 30 minutes when called
- For this travel nursing assignment, the permanent residence listed on the driver's license must meet the applicable 75-mile radius requirement
PACU RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from a wide variety of surgical and procedural interventions
- Monitor and manage airways, including oral and nasal airways, endotracheal tubes, extubation, ventilators, and tracheostomy care
- Perform ongoing hemodynamic monitoring and manage arterial lines, central lines, drains, chest tubes, spinal drains, and other post-operative devices
- Assess and manage post-operative pain, nausea, blood pressure changes, sedation needs, and medication effects
- Initiate and maintain ordered infusions, including anticoagulation, sedation, and vasopressor drips
- Provide post-operative neurological and vascular assessments, including carotid recovery, sheath removal, and site monitoring
- Recognize and respond to complications such as malignant hyperthermia, post-partum hemorrhage, and other urgent post-operative conditions
- Care for patients following procedures involving critical care, pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiac and vascular surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, general surgery, urology, plastics, ENT, and procedural PACU services
- Participate in call coverage while maintaining safe, timely communication with the surgical and interdisciplinary care teams
