Key Responsibilities

  • Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
  • Perform IV insertions and manage IV therapy as part of patient care
  • Utilize electronic health record systems to document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions through the perioperative continuum
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition during the post-operative recovery phase

Required Qualifications

  • Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum of 18 months of relevant clinical experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • PALS certification required prior to start
  • Proficiency with IV insertion and EPIC electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Background in Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) or Pre-Operative nursing is strongly preferred
  • PACU clinical experience will also be considered
