PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The PACU Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during the post-anesthesia recovery phase.

Shift Details

Night Shift: 7:30 PM - 8:00 AM (Friday-Sunday)
Holiday Requirement: May be required

Patient Care Ratios

The PACU Registered Nurse will maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1.

Floating Requirements

The clinician may be required to float to other PACU units within the facility based on needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care
ICU experience is preferred
Experience recovering vascular and cardiac patients is preferred

Certifications Required

Current SC or Multi-State RN License
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification

Additional Information

Local radius rule: 60 miles
Travelers may be subject to call-offs up to one shift per pay period
Parking: A registration fee applies for parking permits; additional fees may apply for other parking locations
During hurricane season (June - November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
