Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN opportunity available in a Level II Trauma Center. The position involves providing postoperative care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients recovering from anesthesia, with a focus on ensuring patient stability, pain management, and recovery readiness. This role is suitable for first-time travelers and offers flexible scheduling to accommodate various needs while maintaining high standards of patient safety.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 4x10-hour evening shifts (starting at 10:30 AM and ending at 9:00 PM) with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Assignment start date is 10/19/2026, with an end date of 12/14/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of PACU or related experience, ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC charting system, trauma level II experience, community hospital background, and previous charge nurse experience are preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • This facility follows ASPAN standards and is classified as a Level II Trauma Center.
    • Patient population includes pediatric (1 year+), adult, and geriatric patients, with a wide variety of surgical procedures performed.
    • The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.
    • The hospital has approximately 571 total beds across two campuses.
    • Orientation includes 30 hours.
    • Travel experience is not required for this position.
    • Must be flexible to work 3 of the 5 major holidays and submit all scheduling/RTO requests upfront.
    • Candidates must respond to the required questions regarding prior experience at a Providence facility and provide two recent references covering the last 3 years.
