• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: San Antonio, TX 78229
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour night shift
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620 - $1,710
• Patient Care Setting: Adult PACU with 18 bays
• EMR: Meditech Magic
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU nursing experience required
• ICU-level of care competency required for post-anesthesia recovery patients
• Active RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
• CPAN or TCAR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care to post-anesthesia patients in a high-acuity PACU environment
• Monitor patients closely during recovery, including those requiring ICU-level care
• Support patient ratios of 1:1 during the first 30 minutes or for ICU-level care, and 2:1 when stable
• Collaborate with the care team to maintain safe PACU coverage when patients are present
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the EMR
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions with sound clinical judgment
• Contribute to a positive, reliable night shift team environment
