Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a travel basis during night shifts. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress post-anesthesia.
  • Provide safe and effective patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during the recovery phase.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
  • Assess patients for post-operative complications and report findings promptly.
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Post Anesthesia Care or equivalent.
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Additional Information

This travel position requires night shift availability. Candidates must be flexible with work assignments and able to adapt to different healthcare settings as needed.
