Outpatient Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
• At least 2 years of recent outpatient nursing or closely related specialty nursing experience
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, patient education, and care coordination skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative ambulatory care team

Outpatient Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide professional, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient specialty clinic
• Perform nursing assessments, monitor patient needs, and support individualized care plans
• Coordinate patient care, referrals, follow-up services, and communication among members of the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, procedures, and follow-up instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care coordination activities accurately and promptly
• Communicate changes in patient condition to appropriate providers and escalate concerns as needed
• Promote safe, compassionate, and efficient ambulatory care throughout the patient experience
