Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in the specialty or a related outpatient or med-surg setting
• Current and active Registered Nurse license
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current NIHSS certification
• Strong IV skills preferred; experienced med-surg nurses with solid IV experience may be considered
• Ability to work a weekday schedule and meet holiday coverage expectations as assigned
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-surgery assessments for outpatient surgical patients
• Perform focused nursing evaluations and gather accurate clinical histories
• Prepare patients for procedures by ensuring required documentation and readiness steps are completed
• Support patient education regarding pre-operative instructions and expectations
• Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and clinic staff to promote safe, efficient care
• Maintain timely, accurate charting and uphold clinic workflow standards
• Provide compassionate, professional care in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment
