Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for providing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources. The RN ensures accurate documentation, develops and implements care plans, modifies care based on evaluations, and prioritizes patient and employee safety. Collaboration with colleagues and continuous professional development are integral to this role.

Required Qualifications:
 

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Illinois state RN License in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Additional Information:
 

• Assess ortho and medical/surgical patients every shift.
• Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, and care transition needs.
• Coordinate care with physician and surgeon partners.
• Delegate and monitor interventions of HCT staff.
• Set up and manipulate ortho traction and surgical traction devices.
• Manage wound appliances such as wound vacs, drains, pouches, and urological devices.
