Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedics for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.
Job Summary (List Format):
- Assess orthopedic and medical/surgical patients every shift
- Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, care transition needs, and additional patient-specific needs
- Collaborate with physicians and surgeons regarding patient care
- Delegate tasks and monitor interventions performed by Health Care Technician (HCT) staff
- Set up orthopedic traction and manipulate surgical traction devices for patient mobility and wound care
- Manage wound appliances, including wound vacs, drains, pouches, and other urological devices
- Maintain compliance with required certifications (Illinois RN license, BLS)
- Ensure high standards of patient care through effective communication and coordination with the healthcare team
Med Ninjas Job ID #16475. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
