Registered Nurse (RN) - Orthopedic Surgery

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with expertise in Orthopedic Surgery to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

  • Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts
  • Shift Hours: 18:45 - 07:15
  • Floating may be required to different units based on skill set
  • Weekend coverage: Every other weekend, subject to change based on need

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Orthopedic Surgery Unit.
  • Monitor and assess patient health status and respond to critical changes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in teaching and community health programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an orthopedic specialty.
  • Must possess an active Tennessee RN license or a multistate RN license.
  • 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic health records system is required.
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
  • Preference for candidates with teaching and community hospital experience.
  • This position does not accept first-time travelers.

The Registered Nurse will play a critical role in supporting patients undergoing orthopedic procedures. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, patient-focused, and committed to continuous learning and improvement in nursing practices.
