Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Orthopedic/Spine Medical-Surgical Unit – Florida
Start Date: October 30, 2026
Location: Gainesville, Florida
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends. Self-scheduling available prior to schedule posting.
Highlights:
- 30-bed orthopedic and spine medical-surgical unit with 7:1 patient ratio
- Newly renovated floor opened in 2020 with all private patient rooms
- EMR system: Meditech; modern equipment including lift systems, bladder scanners, and ultrasound IV machines
- Strong unit support with 1 unit secretary and 3 patient care technicians per shift
- Work alongside experienced orthopedic nursing staff with engaged, supportive unit leadership
- Travel assignment with 13-week contract; minimal floating requirements
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Previous medical-surgical or orthopedic nursing experience preferred
- Navy scrubs required
