Job Summary:
Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor in Tallahassee. This assignment involves providing high-quality patient care in a dedicated orthopedic unit, supporting patients recovering from hip, knee, and spine procedures. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to hospital policies, and collaboration with healthcare team members.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Florida Nursing license, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, orthopedic experience, and 0+ years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with procedures such as IV starts, Foley insertions, dressing changes, NG tube insertions, and familiarity with hospital equipment including vital signs monitors, Vein Finders, and Alaris pumps.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other medical units; assignments to Progressive Care Units (PCU) are modified with no drips.
• Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate strong patient communication skills, including answering call lights promptly, bedside reporting, and purposeful hourly rounding. The unit maintains a flexible scheduling policy to accommodate staff needs.
