Job Opportunity – Telemetry Registered Nurse – Texas
Start Date: September 3, 2026
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day and night shifts available, 5:1 patient ratio, on-call if low census
Highlights:
- 23-bed orthopedic telemetry unit specializing in post-operative care for total joint replacement, general surgery, plastics, and gynecological procedures
- Work with experienced team of 9–10 staff members including dedicated charge nurses, RNs, patient care techs, and unit support staff
- EMR system: Meditech
- Modern telemetry equipment including lift equipment, cryotherapy, SCDs, and bedside pulse-oximeters
- Professional development in medical-surgical telemetry with potential for orthopedic specialty experience
- Opportunities to float to surgical telemetry units for expanded skill development
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Current BLS certification required
- Med-surg telemetry experience required
- Demonstrated telemetry competency required
- Orthopedic nursing experience preferred
