Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro/Ortho – Texas

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas

Schedule: Day or Night shift available; 6:1 patient ratio (occasionally 5:1); 25-bed Neuro/Ortho unit with dedicated charge nurse, unit coordinator, and PCT support
Highlights:
- Specialized Neuro/Ortho unit caring for diverse patient populations requiring skilled post-surgical and medical management
- Modern equipment including Baxter IV Pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps
- Meditech EMR system utilized throughout the facility
- Opportunity to work with weight-based heparin drips, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and chest tube management
- Collaborative team environment with 40+ experienced staff members
- Professional dress code: Royal blue scrubs
Requirements:
- Current RN license in good standing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- General med/surg competencies required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Experience managing chest tubes, cardiac drips, and weight-based heparin drips preferred
