Operating Room Nurse

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity is available for an Operating Room Nurse with experience in neuro, orthopedic trauma, and kidney transplant surgical procedures. This role involves working primarily in operating rooms and providing care for a diverse patient population undergoing various surgical interventions.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 2-8 hour shifts and 2-12 hour shifts
• Day/evening rotations
• 40 hours per week, including up to 2 weekends per month
• Potential call shifts on weekends and holidays
• Short call shift once a week from 3 AM to 7 AM or 5 PM to 9 PM
• 30-minute on-call response time required

Job Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate for various surgical specialties including general surgery, robotics, transplants, orthopedics, neurology, spine, ENT, gynecology, urology, and trauma.
• Provide high-quality care during inpatient Level I trauma surgeries.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
• Participate in organ procurement procedures as required.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing license required.
• BILH coversheet needed prior to start.
• Demonstrated experience in neuro, orthopedic trauma, and kidney transplant surgeries is essential.
• Strong skills in both scrub and circulating roles.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage patient care.
• Must be located outside a 50-mile radius from the job site.

Additional Information

Orientation is conducted weekly, every Monday barring a holiday. All requests for time off must be approved and presented at the time of application. Eligible for holiday shifts during the contract period. Parking may incur daily costs.
