Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in the region. This role involves supporting a high-volume surgical department with a focus on orthopedic trauma, general, neuro, and other specialized surgical procedures. The position requires current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and BLS certification, along with demonstrated experience in orthopedic surgery and operating complex surgical equipment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour day shift from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with two calls per month.
  • Required Qualifications: Massachusetts RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of submission. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Operating Room nursing, with specific experience in orthopedic trauma, general, and neuro surgeries. Travel experience and current operating room experience are essential. Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and proficiency with complex surgical equipment across various specialties including Endoscopic, Laser, ENT, Podiatry, Thoracic, Urology, and Vascular.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with surgical procedures involving complex equipment and a background in neuro surgery.
  • Additional Information:
    • Need for a pass/fail ECG/Telemetery Test and Medication Test prior to acceptance, with testing to be completed via Zoom within 48 hours of an offer. A minimum score of 85% is required. No re-sit opportunities are available.
    • RTO requests must not exceed three days in a row and should be presented at the time of submission. No more than three days off in a row will be approved.
    • Flu vaccination required prior to start, with medical exemption acceptable.
    • No local travelers or candidates who have worked at the organization within the last six months (including travel, per diem, or permanent) will be considered.
    • No float rotation required for this assignment.
