Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse located at the healthcare provider's facility. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care within a Level I trauma center, supporting all surgical service lines except cardiovascular. The role requires managing various surgical cases with an emphasis on trauma, general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, transplant, and urology.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS required. CNOR certification preferred.
• Education: Active Illinois licensure or in application process.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in operating room nursing required.
• Specialty: Operating Room (OR).
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts during days with a weekend block schedule; 3x12 days, including weekends (Friday through Monday) from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, totaling at least 48 hours per week.
• Required Skills and Knowledge: Trauma level I experience, general OR procedures, and specific case types including laparoscopic, bariatric, neuro, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, and urology surgeries. Knowledge of the administration of blood products, infection control, radiation safety, and specimen handling.
• Additional Requirements: On-call required once per week; proficiency with electrosurgical units, Hana tables, fiber optic light sources, and other surgical instrumentation.
• Open to candidates with prior trauma, general, neuro, ortho, plastic, transplant, or urology surgery experience.
• Submission should include SSN and DOB at the time of application, with 2-3 interview availability windows, and confirmation of RTO and start date.
