Operating Room RN

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the surgical environment, working closely with a diverse range of cases and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Provide support during various surgical procedures including general, ENT, plastics, ortho, urology, GYN, and C-sections.
• Participate in rotating call shifts, with a response time of 30 minutes.
• Oversee and direct nursing activities during assigned shifts as a charge nurse overnight.
• Adapt to occasional floating within the department as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Experience with stat C-sections is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Ability to efficiently scrub for surgical procedures is required.

Work Environment:

The position involves working in a fast-paced environment with an average of 15-25 cases per day. The role requires flexibility with scheduling, including occasional weekend and holiday commitments.

Orientation and Training:

New hires will receive comprehensive orientation, including shadowing an experienced RN for the first few shifts to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Uniform Requirements:

Grey scrubs will be provided. Candidates are expected to supply their own OR shoes.
