Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Scrub/Circulator

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and high-quality patient-family centered care during the perioperative period. This role involves scrubbing, circulating, and working in the recovery room as needed, while ensuring effective communication with other members of the perioperative team. Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care during the perioperative period.
• Scrub and circulate in the operating room.
• Assist in the recovery room as required.
• Communicate effectively with the perioperative team members.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational values.

Shift Information

This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour shifts. Holiday coverage will be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• For Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU): Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification is required for all full-time and part-time employees (may be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• At least 1 year of medical/surgical or perioperative experience.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Certification in Neurosurgical Operating Room (CNOR) is preferred.
