Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) specialty position located at a healthcare facility in an acute care setting. This role involves circulating for primarily orthopedic procedures such as total joints, arthroscopy, spine, foot and ankle, hand, ORIF, and additional general and specialty procedures including ENT, gynecology, and plastics. The position requires a skilled professional capable of managing advanced equipment, including the MAKO robotic system, and performing in a fast-paced environment with 10-hour days.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour days with no call or weekends required, Monday through Friday.
  • Required Qualifications: SD or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license, 3-4 years recent circulator experience in operating rooms, strong orthopedic experience, CPR (AHA) certification, ACLS certification - must be AHA, experience with total joints, arthroscopy, and robotics (MAKO).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in spine, foot and ankle, hand, and ORIF procedures, familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system.
  • Float: Float to over units/departments may be required.
  • Additional Information:
    • Scrubs are provided.
    • Local travelers (living within 80 miles of the facility) will have the client rate reduced by $8.00/hour.
    • The facility includes 11 operating room suites and 1 gastrointestinal suite, with an average of 30-50 cases per day.
    • Must have the ability to badge in and out at the facility.
    • Clinicians with past employment at the organization must have their employment end date at least 6 months prior to submission date.
    • Submission must include certification documentation and the willingness to wait for license approval.
