Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse specializing in the surgical environment in a healthcare facility. This position involves circulating various surgical cases across multiple specialties, including General, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedics, Neuro, ENT, Plastics, and Vascular. The role supports a 24/7 operating schedule with rotating shifts to ensure comprehensive surgical care.
Job Details
- Certifications and Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association) and BLS (American Heart Association); Valid license to submit; One year minimum experience required.
- Schedule: Primarily day shifts from 0700-1730, with additional 8-hour post-meridiem shifts (1500-2330) approximately once every five weeks; night shifts possible with relevant experience.
- Responsibilities: Circulating a broad range of surgical cases, including General, Gynecological, Urology, Orthopedics (including total joints and Mako robot cases), Neuro, ENT, Oral, and Plastics surgeries. Supporting both scheduled and emergency procedures, managing OR supplies, and assisting with patient safety and infection control.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be able to circulate complex cases and work within a fast-paced surgical environment. Floating to the Outpatient Surgery Center across the campus may be required.
