Circulator Surgery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary

The Circulator Surgery Registered Nurse is responsible for the comprehensive practice of professional nursing, which includes the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics. This role specifically involves advocacy for and care of patients during the peri-operative period, which encompasses their admission through discharge from perioperative services.

Shift Information

The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities every third night and every third weekend.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Proficient in various surgical specialties, including orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, and endoscopy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Ensure a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide quality patient care.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and recovery post-surgery.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures and recovery.
