Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

License Requirement: Active Alaska RN license required at the time of submission.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to support elective and emergency surgical procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic surgery, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN cases.

The RN must be able to multitask efficiently and help ensure surgical procedures run smoothly and on schedule. After-hours call coverage may be required for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, Associate Degree in Nursing, or nursing diploma).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid, current, unrestricted Alaska RN license at the time of submission.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room experience.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural Operating Room setting.

Important Information

  • Housing and transportation are not provided. Travelers are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation.
  • The start date will be at least 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing.
  • After acceptance, candidates should schedule fingerprinting promptly and mail their fingerprint cards within 2–3 days to help avoid start-date delays.
