Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Description

An experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse is needed for a dynamic role in a fast-paced surgical environment. The position requires a strong background in orthopedic procedures, including Total Joints, Fractures, Ankle/Hip surgeries, as well as Gyn, Robotic surgery, Urology, General, ENT, and Ortho Spine surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room setting.
• Assist in surgical procedures and collaborate with the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and post-operative recovery.
• Participate in preoperative assessments and postoperative care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically Epic.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Must be competent in a variety of surgical specialties, including all listed above.

Additional Information

This position requires the flexibility to work variable call shifts, including New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Please note that no block scheduling will be accommodated. All requests for time off or scheduling preferences must be submitted at the time of application.
