Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse - Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care within the OR department. The role supports a teaching hospital environment, working alongside students and new hires, and requires adherence to clinical standards, safety protocols, and teamwork in a dynamic setting.
Job Details
- Position Description: Orientation dates are scheduled for 10/5 and 10/19, with orientations held every other Monday. Prior travel experience is required for all Centra positions.
- Required Qualifications: Active VA / Compact License, BLS certification, at least 2 years of relevant OR experience, and experience with Vascular, Neuro, and da Vinci robotic surgeries.
- Schedule: Four shifts per week, including two 8-hour day shifts (6:45 am - 3:15 pm) and two 12-hour day shifts (6:45 am - 7:15 pm), totaling 40 hours weekly with up to three call shifts including weekends.
- Preferred Qualifications: Cerner experience is preferred.
- Additional Information: Must have scrub and circulate experience. No more than 3 call shifts per week and no more than 3 weekends within a 6-week schedule. All required documentation, including RTO requests, must be submitted with the application.
- Submission Requirements: All RTO requests must be included in the application packet. An active VA or Compact license must be held at the time of submission.
- Note: The organization is a teaching hospital, and team members are expected to foster a supportive environment, particularly when engaging with students and new staff.
