Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN Circulator) – Evening Shift

  • Schedule: Evening Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts (12:00 – 22:00) OR 5x8-Hour Shifts (12:00 – 20:00 / 14:00 – 22:00 based on dept discretion) | 40 Hours Per Week | Monday – Friday
    • Call & Weekend Protocol:No on-call, no weekend requirements.
    • Holiday Protocol: Rotation required (Must work 1–2 of upcoming major holidays unless unit is closed).
    • Orientation Note: 16 non-billable orientation hours (NBO).
  • Assignment Duration: 13-Week Contract | 1 Open Position
  • Location Region: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (IA) | Travel Candidates Only

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline & Travel History [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years (24 months) of dedicated Operating Room RN experience required [HARDSTOP]. Must have recent travel RN experience within the last 15 months [HARDSTOP].
  • Radius Restriction [HARDSTOP]: Strict 50-mile radius rule enforced. Permanent address on driver's license must be at least 50 miles from facility (No local candidates) [HARDSTOP].
  • Former Employee Restriction [HARDSTOP]: Any former UnityPoint Health (UPH) employee (FTE or PRN float pool) cannot work as a traveler within 12 months of separation [HARDSTOP]. (Prior UPH travel contractors are exempt).
  • Required Clinical Scope & Specialties [HARDSTOP]: Proven independent circulating proficiency in da Vinci Robotics (Xi), Orthopedics (Total Joints & Spine), and General Surgery [HARDSTOP]. Must be a well-rounded circulator able to handle diverse cases independently.
    • Preferred/Nice-to-Have Scope: Mako & Rosa robotic equipment experience highly preferred (used in 80% of total joint cases). Scrub experience is a plus.
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active Iowa State RN License or multi-state eNLC Compact RN License verified on Nursys at submission [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA or ARC ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
