Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The ideal candidate will have experience in surgical nursing and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.

Shift Details

  • 10-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
  • Non-consecutive working days with random days off between Monday and Friday

Weekend and On-Call Requirements

  • One weeknight of call every week from 7 PM to 11 PM
  • One weekend on call per month, rotating between:
    • Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 7 PM to 7 AM
    • Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and respond to changes in status during procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and postoperative care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
  • Experience in Orthopedic, General Surgery, Endo-Vascular, Urology, or Obstetrics is preferred.
  • Current state nursing license in Michigan is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Attendance Policy

We have implemented a strict attendance policy to uphold our commitment to patient care. Any RN who is absent from a scheduled shift or arrives more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will face termination. Exceptions may be made for communicable diseases or hospitalization with appropriate documentation.
