Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,320–$2,440

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license valid in Ohio; pending licenses are not accepted
• At least 1 year of Operating Room experience required; 2 years of recent, continuous OR nursing experience preferred
• Previous experience as an OR circulator
• Current ACLS certification
• Epic electronic medical record experience preferred
• Ability to float to other designated campuses in the area when operational needs require
• Compliance with required COVID-19 and influenza vaccination policies, with applicable medical or religious exemptions considered
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating RN during surgical procedures, promoting safe and efficient operating room care
• Complete preoperative nursing assessments, verify patient information, and help ensure readiness for surgery
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
• Maintain aseptic technique and support adherence to surgical safety protocols
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic electronic medical record when applicable
• Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative experience and promptly communicate changes
• Assist with room setup, equipment coordination, specimen handling, surgical counts, and postoperative handoff
• Float to designated nearby locations and participate in on-call coverage when assigned
