Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical patient care through various phases of surgery, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative stages.

Shift Details

• Shift: 7 AM - 5:30 PM, with flexibility to evenings if needed
• No weekend requirements
• On-call: 1 call per month, if needed

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Ensure a sterile and safe surgical environment.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education.
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being during surgery.
• Integrate and coordinate the surgical care continuum for optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform circulating and scrub duties; experience in scrub role is desirable.

Patient Population

Caring for patients ranging from pediatric to adult age groups.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of current Operating Room experience required.
• Experience in vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic surgery, urology, and ENT required.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Proficient in using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Candidate must possess a valid New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate.
• Access to personal transportation is required.

Training Requirements

• Completion of onboarding training from Welle, CPI, or PMCS is mandatory for all new and returning staff.
