Job Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team. This position requires a minimum of two years of recent experience and is essential for providing high-quality patient care in various surgical procedures.

Position Details

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Orientation: 12 hours of non-billable orientation required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting with a variety of surgical procedures including, but not limited to:
• • Appendectomy
  • Cholecystectomy
  • Colon resection
  • Hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical)
  • Laparoscopic assisted procedures
  • Mastectomy
  • Thyroidectomy (partial/total)
  • Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy
  • Bilateral tubal ligation
  • Dilation & Curettage
  • Closed reduction of fractures
  • Total joint replacement
  • Bunionectomy
  • Circumcision
  • Cystoscopy
  • Transurethral resection of the prostate
  • Amputations
  • Gunshot/stab wounds
  • Fire Safety
  • Colorectal Robotic Surgery using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
  • Gastric bypass and gastric sleeve procedures
  • Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy)
  • Arthroscopy
  • Open reduction of fractures

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the listed service lines
• Strong experience with Meditech required
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Basic EKG competency preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
• Current, valid Arizona RN license or compact state RN license required

Additional Information

Due to the nature of this role, local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not considered. The organization may call off or cancel up to one shift every two weeks. Candidates should be prepared for potential schedule adjustments.
