Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.
Registered Nurse (RN)
The Registered Nurse is responsible for circulating various surgical cases, aiding with turnover cleaning, transporting patients as needed, and scheduling surgical cases. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This position operates Monday through Friday from 0645 to 2315 with variable shifts based on departmental needs. Registered Nurses will typically be scheduled for 40 hours weekly but may be scheduled for 32 hours during holiday weeks. The facility provides 24/7 call coverage, and each nurse is assigned on-call responsibilities averaging 1-2 times a week, plus up to 2 weekends a month. Response to on-call assignments must be within a 30-minute radius of the facility.
Applicants will undergo orientation during the day shift for up to one week, or as directed by management. Travelers are required to complete a minimum of 39 shifts during their contract duration, provided any requested time off is approved.
The operating room unit consists of 6 OR suites, with one dedicated to C-sections. Daily operations include running 4 to 6 rooms simultaneously, emphasizing a busy and efficient surgical environment.
Scrubs will be provided for the duration of the employment.
