Job Details
- Position Description: This role assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient histories, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reports abnormal results, and formulates a comprehensive plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and input from the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or a valid RN license from a compact state, with BLS certification. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the operating room specialty is required.
- Schedule: Night shifts working 8 hours per shift, totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: The Nurse provides direct patient care, coordinates activities with other healthcare professionals, delegates tasks appropriately, and maintains accurate documentation. Participation in unit or facility shared leadership and activities promoting excellent patient outcomes is expected.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and professional certification related to operating room nursing are preferred.
