Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse in Oregon. This position involves perioperative nursing practice during intraoperative surgical experience, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in the operating room and other perioperative services. The nurse acts as a patient advocate, supervises assigned personnel, and participates in a regular on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The registered nurse will be responsible for the direction, control, and planning of perioperative activities during surgical procedures.
  • Certifications, Education, and Experience: Required: Associate of Science in Nursing, current RN license in State of Oregon, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. Preferred: Bachelors degree in nursing, CNOR, Peri-op 101, CRASE training, and previous RN circulator experience.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The role involves implementing the plan of care for surgical patients, including protecting patients from injury, managing specimens, communicating patient status, administering medications, and maintaining sterile fields. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining required competencies are essential. The nurse will also act as a patient advocate, uphold confidentiality, and participate in necessary professional development activities.
