Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cardiovascular and general surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation and ensure a sterile environment during surgeries.
• Perform circulatory and scrub roles across various surgical procedures.
• Provide support in cardiovascular surgeries, including but not limited to, vascular, thoracic, and cardiac procedures.
• Conduct general surgeries such as colorectal resections, liver resections, mastectomies, and thyroid surgeries.
• Facilitate ENT and urological procedures, ensuring the highest quality of care.
• Participate in robotic surgeries and maintain proficiency in various advanced surgical techniques.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience with at least 1 year of experience in an operating room setting.
• Experience in cardiovascular surgery is mandatory.
• Must hold a current BLS certification.
• Ability to circulate and scrub in various surgical specialties, including vascular, ortho, general, ENT, urology, robotics, and gynecological surgeries.
• Proficient in vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting techniques.
• Must possess a valid RN license (WV or Compact) or be in the process of obtaining the license.

Work Schedule

• Rotating shifts: 3x12 or 4x10 hours.
• Weekend and on-call requirements apply.
• Orientation is held every other week on Fridays.

Additional Information

• Able to respond within 30 minutes when on call.
• Must comply with immunization policies, including the flu vaccine, unless exempted for medical reasons.
• Travelers welcome if experience requirements are met.
